XX SAGGER BALL CLAY

XX Sagger is a fine particle ball clay from Kentucky with a low iron and flux content and high amounts of silica and alumina. This makes Sagger XX a favorite ingredient in clay bodies and slips for use in atmospheric firings as it can be quite receptive to flashing.
It is often used in salt/soda clay body formulas for its silica content which promotes orange peel effect on the fired clay surface.
