Soft Salmon Multi Toned Pastel Recycled Sari Silk Thin Ribbon Yarn

Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Some of these ribbon skeins are overdyed which creates fantastic shading and a great range of similar hues. In this multi toned colorway there are shades of Salmon from rich to a light pastel, but no brightness. There may be a bit of Pink, Blush and almost cream here and there. Some edges are fringed, frayed or lacy, adding physical as well as visual texture and uniqueness. Ribbon thickness is mostly on the thinner size from 3/4″ – 1″. Use them phat or cut them into thinner ribbon as these are SO VERSATILE! Shown in different lights, this is a pastel, vintage themed colorway. Use them phat or strip them into thinner ribbon. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
