Cotton Candy Recycled Sari Silk Thin Ribbon Yarn

Love PINK? Soft and drapey, this medium to hot pink (though not deep like fuchsia) ribbon has a light luster and is just such a delicate color. JUST FULL of medium to hot pink tones, this is a bright and cheery ribbon. You’ll find creamy pinks, a light-medium pink and a few other even warmer or variegated pinks, all very eye catching in tone.

Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful ribbon yarn. Some edges are frayed or lacy, adding physical as well as visual texture. Most of these ribbons measure 3/4″ to about 1″ wide, with a few being a tad over an inch. Many have lacy, fringed, or frayed edges for uniqueness. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage, wreaths or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
