This stunning Silk Chiffon Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful ribbon yarn. Some edges are frayed or lacy, adding physical as well as visual texture. Most of these ribbons measure about 1″. Embellish scrapbooks, book covers, scarves, art yarn, luggage, wreaths, tassels or purse straps, even jewelry. Great in weaving, rug making, or plying into your OOAK yarns.
