Americana Decor Stain Blocker, 8 oz

Americana Decor Stain Blocker creates a protective barrier between the paint and the surface. Use this product to prevent discoloration from bleeding through the paint. Some surfaces have finishes that have worn away, are exposing old stains, or are made of woods containing high amounts of tannins (like cedar, redwood, or knotty pine). This can lead to stains bleeding through the paint. If discoloration occurs, allow the paint to fully dry and then apply Stain Blocker/Sealer to create a protective barrier between the paint and the surface.

If in doubt about whether or not a surface will bleed through, test a small area first or just go ahead and seal it with Stain Blocker/Sealer before painting. This product is a great general purpose primer for your home decor projects.
