Cadmium Red Light – This color was added to the American Journey line at the request of artist Vlad Yeliseyev. Cadmium Red Light is a warm, intense, glowing red that is a vermillion shade and can even be used as an orange. It has a warmer undertone than Cadmium Red. Bright and bold, it can be used to add a pop of color to your painting, or mix with greens or turquoise to create subdued reds and beautiful chromatic grays.
Cadmium Red Light serves a specific purpose of drawing attention to the focal point in the painting. In my palette of colors, I can find no more intense color than this particular red which is impossible to mix.
