Fields of Lavender Hand Dyed Longwool Superwash

A nice soft blend of colors you’d expect to see out across a field of lavender in it’s various stages of bloom. Light and dusky lavenders, hint of occasional violet and a light pastel lilac dominating with just a tiny touch of light green speckled about. Really pretty colorway. Shown outdoors in natural light as well as indoors under flash in last picture. The first picture is in sunlight on snow as contrast and is the most accurate. Flash brings out too much lilac and a pink look which is not really there. Keep in mind that these kettle dyed bumps have short and long areas of color – so no 2 or 4 ounces will look just like the next (or exactly like any one picture) but the colorway will contain the colors shown in various combinations.

Note to nuno felters: Superwash fiber does not felt by itself. I use a thin layer of regular fiber, then the superwash, and a top layer (very thin is fine – it won’t hide the wonderful colors of the superwash) to “tack” it all together.
