A spin-off judge and fantastic spinner friend of mine always says “You can’t have too many bobbins!” She makes the most wonderful art yarns and plies so many beautiful singles together, so her bobbins do get a lot of play:) If you are spinning a lot for one project, you don’t want to have to stop and empty your bobbins so that you can get going again.
Babe’s bobbins will fit only Babe’s wheels. They have made a change to the standard bobbin. The front of the bobbin in the past was smaller than the back of the bobbin. Now it will be the same size as the back (picture #4). It will not change the speed. This new bobbin will not fit the old JK flyer which is a curvy flyer, pictured in third photo. Convo me for the older (JK Flyer) bobbins. I have included a picture of the old JK flyer so you’ll know which bobbin you’ll need for your wheel. The new bobbins will look a bit different than the old style also (picture 4). Babe’s testers who tested the new bobbins liked them a lot as they were able to fit even more fiber on them. If you are currently using a Ply bobbin you can use the new bobbins. Choose from drop down box at upper right.
