The square firing chamber is surrounded by a stainless steel jacket and reaches cone 10, 2350F on 120 volts in less than two hours. Attached legs or stand allow the kilns to be used on any surface, including countertops. Kanthal A-1 elements insure long life and the infinite switch controls heating to an exact temperature. Although built with a low purchase price as an objective, the materials and workmanship found in the HotBoxes are backed by Olympics years of experience.
