Downdraft 14 cubic feet gas kiln with or without vent hood
Model – DD14 w Hood/Brick/ Propane or Natural Gas
Inside Dimensions: (setting area for firing pieces) 29″ wide x 28″ deep x 31″ high, fires to cone 10/2350F, brick or fiber construction
Model comes with frame welded to firing chamber, two peephole plugs, instruction manual, and warranty card. Vents are palletized separately from kiln. There is a one-year warranty for the Olympic DD14 downdraft kiln.Olympic Down Draft kilns can bebuilt of brick or fiber. The frame of the Olympic DD14 downdraft kiln is made of heavy angle iron and 1″ thick steel tubing. We’ve thickened both the brickand fiber insulation which is now backed with an 1″ airs pace createdby the square tubing between the stainless steel jacket and theinsulation. Four and one half inches of brick and 1″ ceramic fiberboardinsulate the brick Down Drafts, and three inches of fiber with 1″ceramic fiberboard insulate the fiber DownDrafts. We’ve added air spacewith the metal tubing to the doors of the fiber and brick DownDrafts toenhance the kiln’s strength and efficiency. Additionally, the air spaceresults in a cooler outer surface and a thicker kiln door. Fiber and brick DownDrafts are built with double insulated floors, consisting ofbrick and ceramic fiberboard. The additional strength and insulationenables the kiln to fire at high temperatures, and to maintaintemperatures without damage or deterioration. Efficient venturi burnersare used on the Down Draft kilns with an option for blower burners ifdesired.
