High Gloss Varnish

Liquitex high gloss varnish enhances the intensity, transparency and luminosity of colours. It protects and improves the fluidity of paint and its adherence to supports. Of medium viscosity, it becomes transparent upon drying, stays smooth and does not yellow. Important information :For interior and exterior use. The permanent varnishes are irreversible and must always be tested before being applied. The painted surface must be completely dry (between 72 hours and 2 weeks, depending on thickness) before applying the varnish. Shake the varnish before use. For a better result, shake the varnish the day before and let it sit in order to avoid the formation of air bubbles when applying. The varnish can also be mixed gently with a stick before use in order to prevent the formation of bubbles. Apply 1 to 3 light coats, instead of one single thick coat. A thick coat will take longer to dry, may run or sink in during application and may result in visible paint marks when dry. Lay the work to be varnished flat on a table.Do not dilute the varnish as it will then be more likely to produce air bubbles. Use : Can be mixed with acrylic colours to thin out the colour or to create glossy glazes. Supports : suitable for all supports. Drying time : 3 to 5 days with acrylic. Let dry for 3 hrs between each coat.
