It is a double insulated kiln with 2 ” premium firebrick plus 1″ of block insulation in the walls and 3″ of brick in the lid and floor. This extra thick wall insulation ensures a cooler, safer jacket that will save you 32% in electricity costs when compared to a conventional 2.5″ wall profile and 19.3% when compared to a 3″ brick wall profile. It also gives longer element and electrical component life since the elements dont have to work so hard to achieve the same heat work.That means big savings firing after firing, year after year.
